Boston Scientific Launches Expect19 Flex Endoscopic Ultrasound Aspiration Needle

Boston Scientific launched its Expect 19 Flex Endoscopic Ultrasound Aspiration Needle for use in acquiring tissue samples from organs adjacent to the GI tract under endoscopic ultrasound guidance, according to a company news release.

The needle is made of Nitinol, also known as nickel titanium, and offers more flexibility and increased resistance to deformation compared with traditional stainless steel needles. The echo pattern of the needle provides excellent ultrasound visibility and precise needle guidance within the targeted organ.
