ASGE Supports SGR Repeal

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy recently penned a letter to the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance and Ways and Means Committee in support of repealing the sustainable growth rate formula.

The ASGE comments included:
•    Strong support of the proposed SGR repeal and 10-year period of payment stability
•    Support of a Value Based Purchasing payment program
•    Concern over the additional reporting burden created by CMS quality improvement programs
