Apollo Medical appointed Thomas Lam, MD, to its board of directors.
Dr. Lam is a gastroenterologist and CEO of Network Medical Management as well as CFO of Allied Pacific of California IPA. Here are five things to know:
1. Dr. Lam has been on the governing board of Garfield Medical Center in Monterey Park, Calif., since 2010.
2. He earned the Corporate Citizen of the Year Award by the East Los Angeles Colleges Foundation board of directors. The YMCA West San Gabriel Valley chapter board of directors awarded him the Heart of the Community Award.
3. Dr. Lam completed his internal medicine and gastroenterology training at New York Medical College and Georgetown University School of Medicine.
4. He was born in Hong Kong and grew up in California.
5. As an executive with Network Medical Management and Allied Pacific of California, he is a leader at healthcare enterprises with more than $500 million in revenues.
