AmSurg GI centers contribute 500k colonoscopies to GIQuIC

The GI Quality Improvement Consortium reported more than 2 million colonoscopy cases have been submitted from centers across the country and include more than 500,000 records from the 70 AmSurg centers registered.

GIQuIC is a national registry initiative by the American College of Gastroenterology and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. The organization aims to establish a national GI endoscopy data repository to store and maintain endoscopy quality measures data.

The registry also aims to provide benchmarking reports to participating physicians and facilities that support their quality initiatives. Researchers can use the data when conducting clinical outcomes studies and quality initiatives.
