Here’s what you need to know:

1. With this patient engagement platform, physicians will be able to monitor patients suffering from irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea. The platform’s services will include assessments of symptoms and treatment impact.

2. Allergan and SonarMD say that this patient engagement platform will also help to generate real-world data on the impact of various treatment options.

3. SonarMD has already developed a cloud-based care management platform for patients with other chronic illnesses, such as Crohn’s disease. This platform was created by gastroenterologist Lawrence Kosinski, MD.
