Allergan makes board changes: 3 things to know

Parsippany-Troy Hills, N.J.-based Allergan elected Adriane Brown to its board of directors.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Ms. Brown is the current president and COO of Bellevue, Wash.-based Intellectual Ventures. She joined the Allergan board in February 2017. She has more than 30 years of management leadership and public board experience.

2. Allergan also announced the retirement of current board member Michael Gallagher. Mr. Gallagher served on the board from 1998 until Allergan’s acquisition by Actavis then returned to the board in March 2015. He was previously the CEO of North Bergen, N.J.-based Platex.

3. In addition to the board changes, Allergan announced its 2017 annual meeting. The meeting will be May 4, 2017 in Dublin, Ireland. All shareholders are eligible to vote at the meeting.
