AGA, Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A. to fund IBD research: 3 things to know

The American Gastroenterological Association Research Foundation and Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A. are offering three new research grants to fund work on inflammatory bowel disease projects.

Here are three things to know:

1. The AGA-Takeda Pharmaceuticals Research Scholar Awards in Inflammatory Bowel Disease will provide $270,000 over three years to three young investigators.

2. The awards will fund independent research with a focus on IBD.

3. IBD, which includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, impacts more than 5 million people worldwide.
