ACG recognizes LSU Health Shreveport for IBD research

The American College of Gastroenterology will honor the Louisiana State Health Shreveport gastroenterology and physiology departments for scientific merit in inflammatory bowel disease, according to a report from The Times.

The LSU researchers examined the connection between biologics and the treatment of Crohn’s disease.

Gastroenterology fellow Andrew Motlis, MD, lead author of the study, will accept the award during the ACG annual scientific meeting in October.
