ACG recognizes 31 through 2019 SCOPY awards

The American College of Gastroenterology named the winners of its 2019 SCOPY awards.

In total, the organization gave out 31 awards recognizing physicians and organizations for colon cancer awareness. The winners will be honored at a ceremony and workshop Oct. 27 at the American College of Gastroenterology's annual meeting in San Antonio.

"This year, a total of 31 SCOPY Awards will be presented to an outstanding slate of colorectal cancer awareness champions," said Sophie M. Balzora, MD, chair of the ACG Public Relations Committee. "While all the submissions this year were engaging and effective, the 2019 winners demonstrate sustained engagement with community members, effective collaboration to deliver comprehensive public awareness campaigns, and exemplary commitment to increasing colorectal cancer screening," she added.
