AGA Appoints Dr. Anil Rustgi President

The American Gastroenterological Association has named Anil Rustgi, MD, chief of gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia, its president.

He is known for his research in gastrointestinal cancer and is a recipient of the American Cancer Society Research Professorship.

Dr. Rustgi assumed his new role after the end of Digestive Disease Week.
