8 gastroenterologists in the news

Here are eight gastroenterologists who made headlines with leadership moves or industry honors in the past two weeks.

Physicians Endoscopy and physicians Sam Drake, MD; Bill Watkins, MD; Neville Forbes, MD; and Austin Osemeka, MD, opened the Greater Gaston Endoscopy Center in Gastonia, N.C.

Robert Millan Dy, DO, joined Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku, Hawaii.

Purvi Panchal, MD, joined Pennsylvania Gastroenterology Consultants in Camp Hill.

Nolan Perez, MD, was named one of 21 Texas Lyceum director. The Texas Lyceum is a nonprofit group focuses on identifying leaders in the state.

The Children's Hospital at Montefiore in New York opened a clinic for the treatment of pediatric fatty liver disease. Bryan Rudolph, MD, an attending physician in the hospital's pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition division, will run the clinic.
