5 things to know about Fujifilm

Stamford, Conn.-based Fujifilm Medical Systems U.S.A. is the American branch of the global Japanese imaging and technology company Fujifilm. The U.S. division heads Fujifilm Endoscopy.

Here are five things to know.

1. Fujifilm Endoscopy was the first company to engineer an endoscopic imaging solution with its Fujifilm Double-Balloon Endoscopy System, designed to help physicians reach the entire small bowel.

2. In addition to double balloon endoscopy offerings, Fujifilm features GI endoscopes in its portfolio.

3. Fujifilm launched its ClutchCutter and FlushKnife devices on July 27, 2017, for use in GI endoscopic submucosal dissection interventions. In October 2017, Fujifilm debuted its video endoscopy system Eluxeo.

4. Fujifilm Medical Systems USA recently partnered with Fight Colorectal Cancer to support its One Million Strong campaign to raise colorectal cancer awareness.

5. As of March 31, 2017, Fujifilm and its affiliates employed 29,956 people worldwide.
