2. Through the company’s research and development model, Open Science, Allergan has partnered with biotech companies, academia and other pharmaceutical organizations.
3. Allergan’s seven therapeutic areas include gastroenterology, medical aesthetics and dermatology, eye care, central nervous system disorders, women’s health, urology and anti-infectives.
4. In 2016, Allergan acquired Rhythm Holding Company subsidiary Motus Therapeutics after its relamorelin prescription for gastroparesis in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes achieved top line results in a phase 2b clinical trial.
5. For the full year 2017, Allergan reported total net revenues of $15.94 billion, a 9.4 percent increase over 2016.
