4 key points on Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital’s $14M plan to improve inpatient & outpatient endoscopy services

Mercy Health-Fairfield (Ohio) Hospital will begin a $14 million renovation to improve care for patients undergoing inpatient and outpatient endoscopies, according to Journal-News.

Here are four key points:

1. The hospital will expand both its inpatient and outpatient operating rooms to provide ample space for new technology. The operating rooms will be co-located to increase efficiency.

2. To meet patient demand, Mercy Health-Fairfield will also expand its spine intervention center.

3. Additionally, the hospital will redesign the ambulatory surgery center’s entrance and the hospital’s driveway so patients can readily access the building.

4. Hospital officials expect to complete construction by this fall.
