4 Baylor physicians meet with Rep. Gene Green — 3 insights

Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine gastroenterology division physicians Avi Ketwaroo, MD, Richa Shukla, MD, Yamini Natarajan, MD and Jordan Shapiro, MD, met with U.S. Rep. Gene Green, D-Texas.

Here's what you should know:

1. The meeting was arranged to support the American Gastroenterological Association's effort to connect constituents with AGA members.

2. The gastroenterologists discussed increasing National Institutes of Health research funding, the importance of colonoscopies and the ACA.
