Key Cost Data for Procedures Requiring Implants

Here are some key statistics and cost figures for procedures requiring implants, courtesy of Implantable Provider Group.

1. Cost for implants range from 50 to 80 percent of total procedure costs, depending on the specialty.

2. Implant costs for various procedures:

- orthopedic joint reconstruction: $6,000 to $12,000

- orthopedic sports medicine: $2,500 to $5,000

- spine procedures: $6,000 to $40,000

- neurostimulators and Infustion pumps (permanent implants): $12,000 to $30,000

- interventional cardiology procedures: $3,500 to $10,000
