Carilion Roanoke (Va.) Memorial Hospital, part of Carilion Clinic, has completed an expansion that consolidated cardiology services into a new facility.
According to a recent news release, the 500,000-square-foot Crystal Spring Tower brings together the hospital’s previously fragmented cardiology services. It includes catheterization and electrophysiology labs, surgery, imaging, intensive care and recovery.
A key feature of the new facility is its clinical stacking strategy, with the center located directly above the hospital’s newly expanded surgery department. This will enable faster transitions for urgent cardiac cases.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
