Medical device company Ventric Health has appointed Javed Butler, MD, and Biykem Bozkurt, MD, PhD, to its clinical advisory board.
Dr. Butler is president of the Dallas-based Baylor Scott and White Research Institute and senior vice president at Baylor Scott & White Health. He is also a distinguished professor of medicine at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, according to an April 30 news release.
Dr. Bozkurt serves as editor-in-chief of JACC Journals: Heart Failure. She is the chair and professor of medicine at Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine and director of the Winters Center for Heart Failure Research.
Both cardiologists bring experience in heart failure diagnosis and management and will advise on clinical use of the company’s Vivio System in outpatient and primary care settings.
They join a clinical advisory board that includes cardiologists and other clinical leaders focused on heart failure care and outcomes, according to the release.
