UNC Health Southeastern adds 3 cardiologists

Lumberton, N.C.-based UNC Health Southeastern has added three physicians to its cardiology program: interventional cardiologists Muhammad Ahsan, MD, and Ishtiaque Mohiuddin, MD, PhD, and cardiologist John Brooks, MD, according to an Aug.13 report by The Robesonian

Dr. Ahsan completed fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Iowa Heart Center in Des Moines and at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Mohiuddin completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., and Dr. Brooks completed a cardiology fellowship at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

The physicians join a cardiology group that offers general and interventional heart care, including cardiac catheterizations.
