States ranked by cardiologists per capita

The District of Columbia has the most cardiologists per capita, while Idaho has the fewest, according to January data from KFF.

Population estimates are pulled from the U.S. Census Bureau, which Becker's used to calculate the number of psychiatrists per 100,000 people for each state.

There are 34,576 active cardiologists in the United States.

Below are the states and Washington, D.C., ranked by the number of psychiatrists per capita.
