Sens. Shelley Moore Capito and Amy Klobuchar have introduced a bill to expand and expedite access to cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services.

Missouri cardiologist Lenard Politte, MD, died on Feb. 20 at 90, according to a Feb. 23 report from the Columbia Missourian.

The most lucrative cardiology procedures within the Medicare population for hospitals are coronary artery bypass grafts, according to research from Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania's Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics that was published Dec. 3 in the American Heart Journal.
