New York hospital adds 2 cardiologists

Norwich, N.Y- based UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital has expanded its cardiology program with the addition of Joseph Petro, MD, and Ifrah Abdirahman, MD.

Dr. Petro specializes in general cardiology, according to an Aug. 26 system news release. 

Dr. Abdirahman focuses on advanced heart failure, transplant cardiology and pulmonary hypertension, further enabling the hospital to care for patients with complex heart conditions.

The two specialists will join UHS Cardiology Norwich, expanding inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular services in the region. 

UHS Chenango Memorial is part of Binghamton, N.Y.-based United Health Services, a system with a 6,300-member workforce across 60 locations.
