Nassau University Medical Center opens thoracic surgery center

East Meadow, N.Y.-based Nassau University Medical Center has opened a new thoracic surgery clinic, Long Island Press reported March 10. 

The clinic opened March 7, according to the report. The center will expand care for patients with cardiovascular conditions and offer specialized services for chest diseases and lung cancer, among other services. 

The center will be led by Daniel De Oliveira, MD, a cardiothoracic and general surgeon.
