West Plains, Mo.-based Ozarks Healthcare has entered a partnership with Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Mo., bringing interventional cardiologist Muhammad Khan, MD, to patients in both communities, according to a May 7 Ozark Radio News report.
Dr. Khan will begin seeing patients at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston on May 27.
The expansion is intended to improve access to specialized cardiovascular care in rural communities, where patients often must travel long distances for treatment.
Dr. Khan specializes in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease and performs procedures including angioplasty and stent placement at the health system’s cardiac catheterization lab.
