MarinHealth launches cardiothoracic surgery program

Greenbrae, Calif.-based MarinHealth has launched a cardiothoracic surgery program at the MarinHealth Heart and Vascular Institute. 

The surgeons in the program perform procedures including aortic and mitral valve repair or replacement, coronary artery bypass grafting, minimally invasive surgery and re-operative cardiac surgeries, according to a May 20 news release. 

The team will work with cardiovascular medicine, critical care, anesthesiology and radiology specialists to make sure patients receive coordinated and comprehensive care.

The heart and vascular institute is based at MarinHealth Medical Center, the release said.
