Independence Health System opens outpatient cardiology center

Greensburg, Pa.-based Independence Health System has opened a cardiology services facility, including an outpatient anticoagulation clinic, according to a June 11 report from the Latrobe Bulletin.

The facility will also feature an interventional cardiology suite, a cardiac surgery suite, a heart failure clinic, and a cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac device clinic.

The pharmacist-led outpatient anticoagulation clinic will help manage patients at high risk for blood clots, providing monitoring, education, lab testing and medication management.
