The inaugural atrial fibrillation ablation procedure was performed in April, according to an April 17 press release.

In addition, Advanced Cardiovascular is also one of the first ASCs in Florida to perform supraventricular tachycardia and atrioventricular node cardiac ablation procedures. SVT affects an estimated 1.2 million people in the U.S., while Afib affects roughly 2.7 to 6.1 million individuals in the U.S.

The initial ablation procedures were performed by electrophysiologists Huijian Wang, MD, Hanscy Seide, MD, and Florentino Lupercio, MD.

Advanced Heart is planning to open its second location in Daytona Beach, Fla., in May.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
