The American College of Cardiology has named Hani Najm, MD, as its next president, according to a July 22 news release from the organization.
Dr. Najm serves as chair of pediatric and congenital heart surgery and executive co-director of the pediatric and adult congenital heart center at Cleveland Clinic. He also currently serves as vice president of the ACC.
In addition, the organization named Jeffrey Kuvin, MD, as vice president and Sanjay Gandhi, MD, as treasurer. Andrew Kates, MD, and Laxmi Mehta, MD, were appointed as trustees.
The new officers and trustees will begin their terms in April 2027, the release said.
