Denver-based CardioOne, a partner for physician-owned cardiology practices, has partnered with Warrenville, Ill.-based CardioSphere, a cardiovascular-focused MSO.

CardioOne and CardioSphere help cardiologists transition from hospital and corporate employment models into independent practice. The organizations also help practices partner with health systems on service line co-management, professional services arrangements, joint-venture ASCs and group practice enterprise structures, according to an Oct. 8 news release from CardioOne.

As part of the partnership, CardioOne is adding Chicago-based Midwest Cardiovascular Institute to its network. With the addition, CardioOne supports more than 110 providers across the U.S.

Mark Goodwin, MD, president of Midwest Cardiovascular Institute, Cathie Biga, MSN, past president of the American College of Cardiology, and Jacob Corbell, former CEO of Midwest Cardiovascular Institute, will join CardioOne, the release said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
