El Dorado Heart, a new cardiology practice led by interventional cardiologist Ayobami Eluwole, MD, opened two  new clinics in El Dorado and Camden, Ark., on Aug. 10, Camden News reported Aug. 16.

The two locations focus on general cardiology, interventional cardiology, and diagnosis and treatment of peripheral artery disease.

Dr. Eluwole trained as an interventional cardiologist in New York, completing his internal medicine internship and residency at Harlem Hospital Center and dual fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Society of Echocardiography.

“Heart disease affects nearly every family in South Arkansas,” Dr. Eluwole said. “My goal is to give patients the time, clarity, and evidence-based care they need to understand their risks and make confident decisions about their heart health.”

Both clinics already accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Medicare and Medicaid, with additional plans under review. Dr. Eluwole said he aims to expand specialty heart care access for families across Union, Columbia and Ouachita counties, and a ribbon-cutting and open house for the El Dorado location is planned for September with the El Dorado-Union County Chamber of Commerce.
