St. Helena (Calif.) Hospital has opened a 12-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit, expanding patient care and recovery capacity.
The unit includes private rooms and advanced telemetry monitoring for patients, and is designed to improve care coordination, enhance safety and reduce wait times for specialized cardiac recovery, according to an Oct. 6 system news release.
The unit was funded through community donations and the St. Helena Hospital Foundation’s Runway for Red event.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
