Of the 50 best hospitals in 2025-26 for cardiology, heart and vascular surgery, 14 are located in the South. 

U.S. News & World Report released its rankings July 29, which compares the best hospitals that care for patients with heart and vascular cases including heart transplants, implantation of cardiac devices, major chest procedures and patients with cardiovascular disease and other complex conditions such as endocarditis, heart failure and circulatory issues. 

Here are the top hospitals in the South for cardiology, heart and vascular surgery:

26. Texas Heart Institute at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center (Houston)
