Amavita Heart and Vascular Health has opened a multimillion-dollar cardiovascular ASC in Miami.

The new center will be the first dedicated cardiovascular ASC in the region, according to a June 3 news release.

The 15,000-square-foot facility will be led by interventional cardiologist Pedro Martinez-Clark, MD. It will feature two operating rooms, robotic-assisted surgical systems, 3D echocardiography and intravascular imaging.

Amavita is opening the ASC in partnership with management company Cardiovascular Centers of America and is projected to create 50 new healthcare jobs and serve 5,000 patients annually by 2026.

The ASC will anchor newly expanded medical office building development Med Square Health.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
