Here are three cardiologists making recent headlines, as reported by Becker’s:
1. Episcopal Health Services in New York City named Dheeraj Khurana, MD, chief of cardiology. Dr. Khurana joined Episcopal Health Services as an attending physician in March after operating a private practice in New York City, for seven years and serving as an attending physician in the Division of Cardiology at Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute in New York City.
2. The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine reprimanded the license of James Arcoleo, MD, a cardiovascular disease specialist, citing his failure to file a mandated report and conduct undermining public confidence in the profession.
3. Fátima Rodriguez, MD, associate professor of medicine and section chief of preventive cardiology at Stanford (Calif.) Medicine, will receive the 2025 Joseph A. Vita Award at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions in November in New Orleans Nov. 9.
