CMS released the ASC Quality Reporting data for 2018 payment year, covering the average number of procedures performed at ASCs per state in select specialties.
The data, gathered from Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2016, includes eye procedures. Here are the top 10 states where surgeons perform the most eye procedures per ASCs:

2. Massachusetts: 3,420
3. New Mexico: 3,132
4. South Dakota: 2,822
5. Connecticut: 2,729
6. Virginia: 2,719
7. South Carolina: 2,689
8. Kentucky: 2,414
9. Rhode Island: 2,342
