Operating margins for Pennsylvania ASCs across 9 regions: Statewide margin totals 25.35%

Throughout Pennsylvania, operating margins for ASCs vary based on region, with the state operating margin being 25.35 percent, according to the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council's "Financial Analysis 2016: Ambulatory Surgery Centers" annual report.

Here is a breakdown of operating margins across nine state regions.

Region 1: 15.3 percent
(Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Washington and
Westmoreland)

Region 2: 21.25 percent
(Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence,
McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango and Warren)

Region 3: 19.45 percent
(Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Indiana and Somerset)

Region 4: 37.62 percent
(Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland,
Snyder, Tioga and Union)

Region 5: 26.21 percent
(Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster,
Lebanon, Perry and York)

Region 6: 39.87 percent
(Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming)
