While most companies prefer six to 10 active physician owners at single-specialty ASCs, one-third of companies said there should be 11 to 15 at multispecialty centers, according to HealthCare Appraisers' 2018 ASC Valuation Survey.
Here are seven statistics on the number of active physician owners preferred for single-specialty centers and multispecialty centers. Data was collected from 15 respondents representing 700-plus surgery centers in the U.S.

Six to 10: 67 percent
