Even Aflac can't duck data breaches: Health plan incident among 29 reported in May

In the 29 healthcare data breaches logged in May, 838,587 healthcare records were exposed or stolen, HIPAA Journal reports. One ASC landed among the top 10 largest breaches for the month.

8. Aflac Health Plan (Columbus, Ga.): 10,396
9. Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation of Kansas (Wichita): 8,300
10. Associates in Psychiatry and Psychology (Rochester, Minn.): 6,546
