Definitive Healthcare ranked the top cardiac procedures performed in ASCs, as well as the most common ASC procedures.

The data is based on information gathered on the Definitive Healthcare Commercial Claims Analysis platform for procedures performed in 2017. This list does not account for biopsy procedures, diagnostic testing or drawing blood.

The top 5 ASC procedures:

1. Cataract surgery with intraocular lens implant, 1 stage: 848,563
2. Aspiration from or injection into a major joint (shoulder, hip, knee): 592,390
3. Injection of drug into the eye: 225,248
