11 largest healthcare data breaches in April exposed 10k+ records, affected 2 ASCs

Forty-one healthcare data breaches were reported to HHS' Office for Civil Rights in April, marking the third consecutive month the number of records exposed by healthcare data breaches increased, HIPAA Journal reports.

6. UnityPoint Health (West Des Moines, Iowa): 16,429
7. Knoxville (Tenn.) Heart Group: 15,995
8. Athens (Ga.) Heart Center: 12,158
9. Fondren Orthopedic Group (Houston): 11,552
10. Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (Topeka): 11,000
