A higher percentage of family medicine physicians report their net worth at less than $500,000 than specialists. Here are the percent of physicians that report less than $500,000 in 10 specialties:

1. Family medicine: 39 percent
2. Rheumatology: 37 percent
3. Internal medicine: 37 percent
4. Psychiatry: 35 percent
5. Neurology: 35 percent
6. Pediatrics: 35 percent
7. Physical medicine and rehabilitation: 32 percent
8. Infectious diseases: 31 percent
9. Diabetes and endocrinology: 29 percent
10. Dermatology: 28 percent
