10 happiest, least happy US states

Hawaii is the happiest state in the U.S. while West Virginia is the least happy, according to personal finance website WalletHub’s 2019 Happiest States in America study.

WalletHub analyzed 31 indicators of happiness, including emotional health, income level, work environments and community environment, among other factors.

The top 10 happiest states:

4. California

10. Connecticut

The bottom 10 least happy states:

1. West Virginia
