Borland Groover is opening an endoscopy center in St. Augustine, Fla.

Methodist Healthcare System of San Antonio broke ground on a project featuring a hospital, medical office building and ASC. 

Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte is opening a state-sponsored monoclonal antibody clinic at an ASC in Missoula, the governor's office said Nov. 8.

Some ASCs struggle to recruit staff amid the competition of hospitals' deeper pockets, but physician ownership and efficient schedules can give centers leverage. 

CMS finalized a rule Nov. 2 that changes the requirement of coinsurance when practitioners at hospital outpatient departments and ASCs remove polyps during a colorectal cancer screening. 

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare will acquire SurgCenter Development and its more than 90 ASCs for approximately $1.2 billion, the company said Nov. 8. 

Wichita, Kan.-based Grene Vision Group is planning a building with an ASC adjacent to its existing facility.
