Four ASC projects in 2022 have cost more than $150 million. 

A Pennsylvania ASC and two Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health leaders were awarded the Pennsylvania Safety Authority's 2022 I Am Patient Safety Award, the independent state agency said Feb. 10. 

The No Surprises Act, the federal law requiring ASCs and physician practices to provide cost estimates to self-pay patients, went into effect Jan. 1. 

Private equity firm Partners Group has acquired a 200-location dermatology practice from Omers Private Equity, Partners said Feb. 10. 

Rockford, Ill.-based OrthoIllinois has finalized its plan to build an ASC in Beloit, Wis., after a year of opposition from Beloit Health System, the city's largest employer, the Beloit Daily News reported this week. 

University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center is converting a former Sears building within a mall to an orthopedic healthcare campus with an ASC, The Wall Street Journal reported Feb. 1.
