Two Newark, N.J.-based physicians and their medical practice will pay $1 million to resolve False Claims Act allegations, the U.S. Justice Department said April 28. 

Madison, Tenn.-based SouthEast Eye Specialists, SouthEast Eye Surgery Center and the Eye Surgery Center of Chattanooga will pay $17 million to resolve alleged violations of the Anti-Kickback Statute. 

Arlington, Va.-based physician Kirsten Van Steeberg Ball, MD, was indicted on 21 counts of illegally distributing oxycodone, ABC affiliate WRIC reported May 1.
