The highest paid ophthalmologist in Chicago earns $679,400, according to Medscape's salary reporter tool, which is much higher than the mean annual wage of $265,450 ophthalmologists make according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The median pay for anesthesiology physicians rose 10 percent from 2022 to 2023, according to Sullivan Cotter's 2022-23 "Physician Compensation and Productivity Report."

Iron Mountain, Mich.-based Garrett Eye Center has added Cameron Anderson, MD, to its team of providers, according to an Oct. 2 report by Iron Mountain Daily News.

The highest paid cardiologist in San Francisco earns $860,000, according to Medscape's salary reporter tool, which is much higher than the mean annual wage of $421,330 cardiologists make according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
