Which healthcare jobs are the best & pay the most? 20 'US News & World Report' rankings

U.S. News & World Report released its annual list of the 100 best healthcare jobs, including the highest-paying jobs.

To compile the rankings, U.S. News & World Report analyzed U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data on jobs with the highest projected number of openings from 2016 to 2026, along with seven measures including median salary, stress level and work-life balance.

Here are the top 10 healthcare jobs:

1. Physician assistant
2. Dentist
3. Nurse anesthetist
4. Orthodontist
5. Nurse practitioner
6. Pediatrician
7. Obstetrician and gynecologist
8. Oral and maxillofacial surgeon
9. Physician
10. Prosthodontist

Here are the 10 best-paying jobs by median salary:

1. Anesthesiologist: $208,000
2. Surgeon: $208,000
3. Oral and maxillofacial surgeon: $208,000
4. Obstetrician and gynecologist: $208,000
5. Orthodontist: $208,000
6. Psychiatrist: $208,000
7. Physician: $192,930
8. Prosthodontist: $185,150
9. Pediatrician: $172,650
10. Dentist: $151,440
