These 5 states pay surgeons the most

The five U.S. states paying surgeons the most offer hourly wages of at least $100 and annual salaries of $208,000 or more, according to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics data available.

Five top-paying states and estimated number of surgeons employed:

1. Wyoming: 110
2. Utah: 410
3. South Dakota: 350
4. Oregon: 270
5. Oklahoma: 310
