The role of patient warming in preventing orthopedic infections

Scott D. Augustine, MD, CEO of Augustine Temperament Management, Augustine Biomedical + Design, will discuss how patient warming can help prevent orthopedic infections during his presentation, "Patient Warming's Role in the Prevention of Orthopedic Infections."

Dr. Augustine founded Augustine Medical, which developed new medical devices for patient temperature management. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota and was trained in anesthesiology in the U.S. Navy. He completed a fellowship in intensive care medicine at Stanford University and cardiac anesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic.
