Surgical Information Systems CNO Ann Geier is gearing up for Becker's ASC conference: Here's why

Healthcare has many moving parts and leaders within the ASC space juggle a myriad of tasks to ensure their practice is thriving. ASC executives often share their best practices and strategies for improving various operations at Becker's ASC 24th Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs.

Surgical Information Systems CNO Ann Geier, RN, CNOR, is one such leader who is sharing her insights next month. She spoke with Becker's ASC Review about what she hopes to learn from the conference and how ASC leaders can benefit from attending the event.

Question: Why have you attended Becker's October conference in the past and what are you excited for this year?

Ann Geier: I love attending this conference. I usually am asked to speak. I love presenting because the attendees are eager to learn. The networking is the best, and I always see a lot of people I know from all over the country.

Q: Which topics are you looking forward to learning more about?

AG: I love learning more about leadership, HR [and] inventory.

Q:  What is the most important insight you learned at this event in years past?

AG: Case costing is one of the most talked about topics, and I'm pleased to present on this at the orthopedic and ASC meetings.

Q:  What are one or two key things ASC leaders should know about this event?

AG: It's a great place to learn, and a great place to learn about new products from the numerous vendors who will be there.
